Reception robot price: what a hotel pays (2026)
There is no sourced purchase price for a "reception robot" as a category, and we will not quote an industry range. What does have a published price is the machine, the rental and the hours. AGIBOT lists the X2 on its own store at USD 24,240 before shipping, duty and tax. Renting an X2 from us costs 1,500 EUR a week for the Basic or 2,500 EUR for the Ultra, and on-site engineering is 825 EUR per engineer per day.
| Item | Published price | What it leaves out |
|---|---|---|
| AGIBOT X2, AGIBOT's own store | USD 24,240 | Shipping of USD 500–3,000, duty, taxes, import clearance |
| X2 Basic rental | 1,500 EUR per week | VAT and shipping |
| X2 Ultra rental | 2,500 EUR per week | VAT and shipping |
| A2 Ultra rental | 6,500 EUR per week | VAT and shipping |
| On-site engineering | 825 EUR per engineer per day | Nothing in Europe: travel and accommodation included |
| Language model usage | Billed by your provider | Nothing passes through us |
What does the robot itself cost?
The store price is for the X2 in its Basic configuration: 25 active DoF, an interactive camera, no LiDAR and no RGB-D camera. AGIBOT's store says the customer covers all duties, taxes and import clearance, and quotes shipping at USD 500–3,000. For a business in the EU the list price also leaves out VAT, the CE paperwork, warranty handling inside the EU, spares, setup and training.
We quote the delivered EU price instead. It includes commissioning, operator briefing and a 12 month warranty handled inside the EU, and a standard configuration takes 12 to 16 weeks from a firm order. The X2 Ultra and the A2 Ultra carry no price on AGIBOT's store today, so both are quoted.
What does the software that makes it a receptionist cost?
This is where a reception robot's cost sits, and none of it has a list price, because it depends on what the robot has to do. The requirements document comes first: what the robot says, where it goes, what it does when a child stands in front of it, and how you judge whether it works. Mapping and the navigation stack are needed only if it walks guests somewhere, and a greeter at the door needs neither. The Client LLM Integration connects your own model account and has the robot answer from documents you upload.
Each item is quoted from the requirements document, with engineering time at the 825 EUR day. The language model is a running cost you pay your provider directly, whether that is OpenAI, another provider or a local model such as Ollama.
Should a hotel rent before it buys?
For a first reception deployment, renting answers the question a price cannot: whether guests stop and talk to it. The weekly rate is per unit, net of VAT and shipping, and an in-stock unit is with you inside 48 hours of a confirmed booking. A booking shorter than a week is charged as a full week, and a month, a quarter, half a year or a year are priced for the term. If a trial leads to an order, we will discuss crediting part of the rental against it.
A rental week will not show how the robot holds up over a year of service. That is what the warranty and the service agreement are for.
Which configuration does a reception desk need?
The X2 Basic's table marks customer-side development as not supported, so it runs what AGIBOT ships. The X2 Ultra adds LiDAR, an RGB-D camera, a docking station it charges at on its own, and supported customer-side development, which is where your own language model connects. The A2 Ultra is a full-size alternative at 169 cm and 6,500 EUR a week.
Tell us whether the robot stands at the door or walks guests to the lift, and we will send a delivered price for an X2 Ultra with the reception software, or a weekly quote to try it first.
