AGIBOT X2 vs Unitree G1: which fits which buyer
The AGIBOT X2 and the Unitree G1 are the same size class, 1310 mm and 1320 mm tall, and each maker splits its model into an entry version you cannot program and a developer version you can. The G1 is cheaper to list: Unitree publishes US $13.5K for the standard G1, tax and shipping excluded, against USD 24,240 for the X2 on AGIBOT's own store. Choose the G1 EDU if your team writes its own code and wants fingered hands. Choose the X2 if the robot's job is facing people, and you want it rented, commissioned and serviced inside the EU.

Which is cheaper to buy in Europe?
On list price, the G1. Neither list price is what a European buyer pays, though. AGIBOT's store puts shipping at USD 500–3,000 and says the customer covers all duties, taxes and import clearance; Unitree's price also excludes tax and shipping. On top of that come import VAT, the CE paperwork and whoever takes the importer's role, warranty handling from inside the EU, spares, setup and training. Robotoplus quotes the delivered EU price for both X2 tiers and rents them: the X2 Basic at 1,500 EUR a week and the X2 Ultra at 2,500 EUR a week, net of VAT and shipping, with an in-stock unit on site inside 48 hours of a confirmed booking. We do not sell Unitree, so we cannot quote a delivered G1.
Which one can your team program?
Neither entry model. The X2 Basic lists secondary development as not supported, and Unitree offers it only on the G1 EDU. The X2 Ultra supports it through AimDK_X2 in Python and C++, with 7 joints per arm against the G1's 5. The G1 EDU goes further on hands: up to 43 degrees of freedom once Unitree's optional three-fingered hands and extra wrist joints are fitted. If the research is manipulation with fingers, the G1 EDU is the closer fit on published figures. If it is navigation and interaction, the X2 Ultra arrives with 3D LiDAR, RGB-D vision, a docking station it returns to on its own, and a walking speed of 2 m/s.
Which works better in front of people?
The X2 is built for it. AGIBOT specifies speech, gesture, facial expression and touch as interaction modes, dancing and cycling among its locomotion modes, and over 20 preset movements. Its three waist joints let it turn, sway and bend, which reads as body language at a reception desk or on a stand. Unitree's table lists a microphone array and a speaker but publishes no interaction behaviour, so plan to build that layer yourself.
AGIBOT or Unitree: which maker suits a European buyer?
Scale does not separate them. Omdia put AGIBOT at 5,168 humanoid shipments in 2025, and Unitree states it delivered more than 5,500 pure humanoids to end customers the same year. The difference is the channel. Robotoplus is AGIBOT's appointed distributor for Bulgaria and Romania and supplies Greece and Cyprus from inside the EU, so the importer obligations stay with us. Every X2 we supply comes with commissioning, an operator briefing and a 12-month warranty handled inside the EU, with a named engineer answering the same working day. If your lab's code already targets Unitree hardware, the G1 EDU remains the sensible choice.
