Software
Application software for humanoid platforms: perception, navigation, manipulation and operator interfaces.
What is actually open, and under which licence
The platforms we supply are programmable, and much of the surrounding software is published openly. That is a real advantage over a closed industrial cell, and it is worth being precise about, because "open source" is doing a lot of work in most robotics marketing.
AGIBOT publishes its AimRT middleware under the Mulan PSL v2 licence, which is permissive and commercially usable. The X2 robot descriptions and the OmniHand SDK, which covers the OmniHand 2025, the Pro 2025, the 3 Lite and the Dex UMI with C++, Python, kinematics and ROS 2 APIs, carry the same licence. The D1 Edu-Ultra resources are BSD-3-Clause.
Not everything is. The D1 Max SDK repository ships code with no licence file at all, which by default reserves all rights, and the world-model and dataset work is CC BY-NC-SA, meaning non-commercial: Genie Envisioner, EnerVerse-AC, EWMBench, the AgiBot World datasets and the GO-1 weights. Those are useful for research and unusable in a product without a separate agreement.
We checked every one of these against the repository itself rather than the marketing page, and we will tell you which licence applies to the component your project actually needs before you commit engineering time to it. Where the answer is "no licence published", we raise it with the manufacturer rather than hoping.
